Day Skipper is the qualification most charter companies ask for. The online course covers chartwork, tides and tidal streams, weather, collision regulations, passage planning and emergency procedures. Practical training with a partner school then puts you in command: leaving and returning to a berth, anchoring, man-overboard recovery and skippering a short passage. The theory certificate exam is included.
